Today was our first swim day in the ocean for POC.  We were told that there is no longer a 1 mile swim requirement, but they are hoping to see improvement from the start of the course to the finish.  Jenny was able to complete a full mile (one of the VERY FEW that made it that far) in the time allotted, I was so proud of her.  She finished just before the buoys were pulled up.

I was able to start a little earlier than her since I volunteered to help set up the course and it was just too hot to sit on the beach, so just started swimming.  I made it to 1.9 miles and only had ¾ of a lap to complete 2 full miles without stopping, but the buoy I was swimming toward got pulled up before I got there.  Now I have something to shoot for!!

Class is slowly ramping up, we have our first hike this coming Saturday but it shouldn’t be too difficult to start.  We're honored to be a part of this POC team!

How is Ellie enjoying all the new foods?!

Seriously, she's doing absolutely great eating new foods.  Much better than I expected...  Mike Abbott will be happy to know we found a guy in our class who was born in Ghana!!

That's all for today...
