We arrived safely home from our Intercultural Communications training at the JAARs center 1 week ago. The education in preparing us for the mission field was priceless. The lesson that hit the hardest was to "imagine your greatest fear" (for me is was the health and safety of my 3 girls). We were taught that "if you are not prepared to deal with the reality of it happening, then you are not ready to go to the mission field." This was a struggle to deal with, but was something I could turn over to God and live with.
While at ICC, our RV was picked up from an RV dealership up near Knoxville for a consignment sale. It has sold!! The only things remaining to sell are the 7 acres in Deep Creek and our house. Once they are gone, all that remains is getting 100% funding and we are ready to go.
After losing a month of fundraising, we have fallen behind and are trying intently to catch up. We got back home at 58% funding and are currently up to 62%. Our goal is to get to 70% by the end of the month.
Today we will relist our Dodge Ram SRT10 truck for $30,000 which is less than we paid for it. After sinking over $25,000 into it, it is a crime to let it go for so low a price. Whoever buys it should be sent to jail!! With the proceeds of the sale, we can put that toward the property lien so we can drop the price lower so it'll sell.
We had Joe Rooney (youth pastor from our church) over last night for dinner in hopes of luring him to help us create a video for Partnership Development. We are eager to see what awesome ideas will come from that brain!
More to come! KEEP PRAYING!!!!!!!!!!
